Blog Reflection

I have found that having a blog is great for the kind of art I produce. I work with videography, music, multimedia, and photography so having a blog is a great way for me to promote my art on a digital platform.

At the beginning of the year, I used Wix to start what I thought was a free website. However, after I created that website, the domain wouldn’t work unless I paid a fee. So recently, I did some research and found WordPress to be a free blog site where I easily can post and create content. I named my blog Mystic Arts and Music because my work pertains to art and music. I have posted all of my portfolio work, as well as some personal projects in poetry and photography. I have a contact page where people can email me, as well as links to all my YouTube videos. One of the most interesting things I found was the network I have already created with just a short amount of time on WordPress. I have had comments, likes, and follows by artists from all over the world, which has exposed me to diverse art.

I have included “Just for Fun”, “Sled the East”, “Self Portraits of a False Persona”, “Bliss”, “Coffee Haiku”, “A Deep Regret”, and “Impromptu Shoot” as some of my personal uploads. Some of these posts are photos I have taken, mostly of people I know and I used captions I found to make people think deeper into the meaning of the photography. I have also posted a couple of short poems to add to my poetry collection. I am excited to have started this blog and can’t wait to see where it will take me in my endeavors as an artist.
